MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Mild and dry tonight, but a strengthening low pressure system off the Carolina coast will push Atlantic moisture west and into the Mid-South. New data today indicates a better chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, especially in the afternoon and early evening. A dry and mild remainder will then continue through the Memorial Day weekend. So get ready for a warmer and progressively worse pattern for the rest of next week.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with a northeast wind of 5 to 10 mph and highs in the mid 50s to 60s.
SATURDAY: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, northeast wind 5 to 10 mph, and a high of 80 degrees in the afternoon.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy with a light northeast wind and a low of 60 overnight.
SUNDAY: Partly cloudy with a high near 80 and an overnight low in the 60s.
NEXT WEEK: Memorial Day will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid 80s and overnight lows in the 60s. Tuesday will be partly cloudy with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 80s and overnight highs in the upper 60s. Wednesday will be partly cloudy with a high in the 80s and a low in the 60s overnight. Thursday will be partly cloudy, warmer and more muggy with a high near 90 and a nighttime low near 70. Friday will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers or thunderstorms in the afternoon with a high near 90.
