MANDAN, ND (KFYR) – Mandan Public Schools has announced a new assistant starting next fall. Dr. Carly Reterat will begin her new position on July 1.
She is the director of alternative education and previously worked as a special education teacher and special education program coordinator. Current Assistant Superintendent Dr. Jeff Fastnacht has accepted a new position as Superintendent of Bismarck Public Schools.
“I think what I’m most excited about is just working in the district on a larger scale and working at the community level. “What really drew me to observers is the thinking of large-scale imaging systems,” Reterat said.
He looks forward to expanding his relationship with the Mandan community and playing a larger role in the MPS district. He also hopes to expand CTE programs and community partnerships, making sure students get mental and behavioral health when needed.
