DAY 1 WARNING in effect from 9:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday for a chance of severe to severe thunderstorms

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A DAILY EARLY WARNING has been issued for Wednesday from 9:00 PM to 6:00 PM for the possibility of several severe thunderstorms from the TV6 viewing area.

A strong warm front moved past the TV6 viewing area this afternoon. As this warm front moved away, a few thunderstorms developed along the border. These storms are extreme with large hail and damaging winds.

An associated low pressure system and nearby cold front will move through the area tomorrow afternoon or early evening. Ahead of this front, there will be a few showers and thunderstorms, especially tomorrow night and day. Some of these storms can become very severe, with large hail and damaging winds as the main threat. Isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out as we head into the afternoon tomorrow.
