Clark County Fire Battalion Chief Convicted of Exploiting the Elderly

Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – A battalion chief with the Clark County Fire Department has pleaded guilty and been convicted of exploiting an elderly or vulnerable person, according to court records.

Steven Broadwell, 52, was arrested earlier this year and booked into the Henderson Detention Center.

On Wednesday, Broadwell was sentenced to 30 days in jail with credit for 30 days served. He was fined a total of $178.

“He has been a battalion chief since September 8, 2018. As one of 13 battalion chiefs, he is responsible for a portion of the East Las Vegas Valley, generally east of Maryland Parkway,” a Clark County Fire source said in January. .

Clark County said Broadwell is now on unpaid leave.
