Brookings School District receives full accreditation

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – The South Dakota Department of Education on Thursday granted Brookings School District full accreditation for 2023-2028.

Accreditation indicates that the district meets all state and DOE requirements.

According to a release from the district, the accreditation was granted after completing all requirements of the accreditation process, allowing the district to maintain its accreditation in good standing.

In its previous review, the DOE identified the need to update school policies, update teacher information, and update the district’s school improvement plan. These have been corrected.

“We are very proud of the district’s accreditation and our standing with the South Dakota Department of Education,” said Superintendent Dr. Clint Willert.
