WhatsApp is working on a feature that the competition has had since the Jurassic era

WhatsApp, in the beta version 2.23.7.3 for Android, is working on a new feature that would allow block messages within single chats and groups. In practice, through this option users will be able to fix the most important messages at the top of the chat so as not to lose sight of it. This function is obviously still under development, but thanks to the latest beta version it is already possible to see an interesting preview of it.

In fact, as you can see in this WABetaInfo screenshot, it is possible to fix a message at the beginning of the chat. To do this, it will be enough select the item “Fixed” within the message options. Once this action is done, a small icon will appear on the text. This is undoubtedly an interesting function since it will allow, for example, all the participants of a group to do not lose sight of the most important communications. For this option to be available, users will have to wait for a future update of the application. So WhatsApp is trying to catch up with “competing” apps like Telegramwhich in fact has been providing this function to its users for some time now.

Finally, still at WhatsApp, the developers are working on other features that should see the light soon. Between these, there is one that is interested in photos. Specifically, the app may allow users to keep the original resolution for shared images with the Android app. In practice, before sending an image, you can choose whether to enable compression or send the photo at its original resolution.
