WhatsApp for Android in Beta goes crazy and forces users to uninstall it

Android users who had installed the WhatsApp beta today they found themselves with some bad news. In fact, a notification informs them that “WhatsApp is obsolete. This version of WhatsApp is too old and no longer works. Go to the Google Play Store.”

Opening the application, the situation does not improve because a message, which prevents you from seeing your chats, reads:

This version of WhatsApp became obsolete on Mar 27, 2023. Tap “Download” below to get the latest version from the Google Play Store.

Too bad that by pressing the button you are sent back to the Play Store where the installed version of WhatsApp Beta is already the latest available. Basically, users are given no other choice but to uninstall the app, exit the beta and reinstall it, even going to restore the chat backup. It’s obviously not an insurmountable problem, but it’s certainly a bore for Beta users, who probably hoped to try out the latest news in advance and who are instead forced to remove the app, at least in the Beta version.

If you decide to keep the beta version, you can kill time waiting for it to work again (but it’s hard to say how long it will take) by browsing a bit among our latest guide relative a WhatsApp.
