The upcoming Huawei FreeBuds 5 will have a strange shape [FOTO]

Huawei launched its latest mid-range in-ear headphones with active noise reduction, the FreeBuds 5i, at the end of last year, the Chinese manufacturer may soon unveil new high-end wireless headphones, the Huawei FreeBuds 5.

Recall that Huawei offers three main ranges of wireless headphones. If the ranges “Pro” e “i” are in-ear headphones, the “regular” model offers active noise reduction supported by an open format, without passive isolation.

However, Huawei’s “normal” range has so far presented a classic design with stem headphones similar to the one offered by Apple with its AirPods 2 or AirPods 3. However, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has decided to drastically change the design of its headphones for the new FreeBuds 5. On the Chinese social network Weibo, a photo that is supposed to represent the headphone box reveals very rounded stems, probably to better adapt to the shape of the user’s ear. We can also notice large slots on the headphones that allow the integration of microphones used for active noise reduction.

The Case of the Huawei FreeBuds 5

The image reveals not only the name of the Huawei FreeBuds 5 and their design, but also two features: the support of the Hi-Res Audio Wireless specification thanks to the compatibility with the HWA Bluetooth audio codec.

Appointment on March 23rd

Furthermore, the photo posted on Weibo echoes a teaser shared by Huawei on the same social network. We can notice a rounded shape resembling the shape of the stem of the headphones, confirming that the manufacturer’s headphones will indeed offer this original design.

Huawei has already announced that its FreeBuds 5 will be presented in China on March 23, in less than a week. For the moment, we still don’t know their full features, as well as the price and availability of the headphones in Italy.
