YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – A man was shot early Saturday morning.
The Yuma Police Department (YPD) says the incident happened in the area of West 16th Street and SA Avenue.
The investigation revealed that the 41-year-old man was inside his car at around 3 o’clock in the morning when another car entered the parking lot, stopped next to him and opened fire.
The victim then drove off in his car as the suspect chased him.
After that, the victim moved in the neighborhood of 16th Street and Dora Avenue.
When YPD arrived, someone was tending to the victim as he suffered gunshot wounds.
The victim was then transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
However, the victim’s car was damaged by multiple bullets.
YPD also said the investigation is ongoing and the suspect remains at large.
