MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Memphis Tigers are currently in Columbus, Ohio, preparing for their shot at the NCAA Championship.
At home, there’s a group that makes sure the Tigers feel the Memphis love wherever they go.
Memphis rebounders are known to be super fans of the men’s basketball team!
For more than 60 years, the club has been committed to raising funds for the team, but they have also kept the fan community engaged wherever the Tigers play.
Rebounders maintain a social media presence as well as bring Memphis pride on the road and travel to every road game.
Thursday, they prepare to support the team for the big game on Friday.
“Friday night’s game is very important, not only because it’s a contest, but because it’s just another step in the journey that Coach Hardaway is on,” said Sandy Adams, vice president of the Memphis Rebounders. “He’s a staple of this community. We’re proud of everything he’s accomplished and we want him to succeed. We want the players to succeed.”
