The city of Waco is releasing a traffic plan for Trump’s campaign tour on Saturday

WACO, TX (KWTX) – The city of Waco has released traffic plans for Donald Trump’s visit on Saturday.

The campaign of former President Donald J. Trump will hold a rally on March 25 at the Waco Regional Airport in the 7909 block of Carl May Drive.

Road closures and traffic diversions will be implemented as traffic will be affected throughout the day in the China Spring area.

The event parking lot will open at 8 a.m. and entry gates will open at noon. The event is expected to start at 14:00

Event organizers expect an estimated 15,000 participants and have provided law enforcement officers to monitor intersections and ensure safe and efficient traffic.

Airport passengers are advised to arrive early and there is a dedicated route to access the terminal. Airport visitors should exit at Steinbeck Bend and take Carl May Road to the airport.

Affected streets:

• The intersection of Flat Rock Road and Skeet Eason Road will be monitored by law enforcement and only for incident exits or access to Airport Park.

• Yankee Road should be used for local traffic to access the west side of Skeet Eason.

• Steinbeck Bend and China Spring Highway / N. 19th Street will be patrolled by officers throughout the day and the signal will be activated when necessary.

“Regular vehicular traffic can avoid this intersection by using Washington Lane and Rock Creek Road. Note: due to construction, Airport Road is limited to northbound traffic only,” the city of Waco said.
