The adaptive cycling event aims to empower people with disabilities

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – March is National Disability Awareness Month and a new program starting March 18 will allow people with physical disabilities to ride bikes outdoors.

From 10:00 am to 2:00 pm today, participants can ride adaptive cycling equipment for free at Paki Community Park (next to the zoo and Kapiolani Park). It’s an opportunity for them and their families and carers to enjoy the camaraderie. More events are planned.

Stephanie Nadolny, President and CEO of Pacific Rehab Hospital, joined HNN Weekends Sunrise to talk about her partnership with Adaptive Adventures and other community organizations.
