BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – This year’s snowfall has caused problems for many. One business that has a problem with snow is Capital City Sporting Clays. They are behind until the beginning of the season.
Mark Sandes says this winter was the worst he’s seen since the 1996-1997 hurricanes. Even with the snow cleared, the entire area is covered with two to four feet of snow.
Capital City Sporting Clays is a training center for many school students to participate in sports. The season is supposed to start in two weeks, but the fields are still closed.
“It gets us off to a late start. We usually start moving the machines and equipment in March and try to set up the high school trap and build five sporting clays,” said Capital City Sporting Clays owner Mark Sandes.
Sandes says the students are ready to get out there and start practicing to continue shoveling and hoping the snow melts soon.
