MSCS Summer Training Academy is open for registration

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Registration is now open for the 2023 Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) Summer Learning Academy.

The academy is designed to support the educational needs of students and provide additional learning opportunities for children entering grades 1 through 12 in the 2023-2024 school year.

From June 20 to July 19, students in grades 1 to 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. or from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., they take reading and math lessons, intervention and physical work.

From June 20 to 30, students in grades 9-12 will attend the ACT Prep Camp from 9 a.m. to noon.

Academy locations for grades 1 through 8 vary due to extensive summer construction and are grouped by proximity and capacity. For grades 9 through 12, the academy is held at East Middle School and Ridgeway Middle School.

Food will be free for all students.

Registration will last from March 27 to April 21.
