MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A Memphis woman has been charged in connection with a TennCare fraud scheme.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation began investigating the alleged fraud in January 2022 when the Department of Health told them a care provider had double-billed them.
Investigators say Jamaira Jarrett filed claims while working at multiple health care facilities that she cared for different TennCare patients in different homes at the same time, totaling more than $8,400.
Jarrett was arrested last week and charged with fraud and theft of TennCare property. He was held on $20,000 bail.
