The former continued to work together on Lisa Vanderpump‘s restaurant SUR, but Doute was often quick to stir up drama. During the third season, she connected with a woman who claimed to have hooked up with Sandoval in Miami while he was still dating Madix and helped bring her to SUR. In that time, Fancy AF cocktails the authors left the restaurant, but were brought back by the boss.
“I almost wish I hadn’t [leave]. The reason we left was because we felt the production was dragging this whole thing down. We were, like, ‘Oh, so random people just show up now,'” Madix exclusively said Us Weekly in October 2021. “I’m really sorry, I guess, that I didn’t fully tell the whole real story, like, on camera and I stayed there.”
With the conflict firmly in the past, Madix shared an update on where she stood with Doute. “We’ve been great ever since [decided to be friends]”, she explained.
The road to friendship wasn’t easy, with the pair arguing about their dating lives, sketch comedy and more on the hit reality show. In his 2020 book He makes you crazyDoute revealed that she has forgiven her ex and Madix for their past mistakes.
“I decided to let it all out because whether or not I thought those rumors of an illicit date or two behind my back were true or not, it didn’t matter anymore,” she wrote. “A girl can’t actually steal someone’s boyfriend. He made a free choice to leave me, and a free choice to be with her. I should have let them be happy.”

So I’m Team Ariana – all day, every day. That’s what it is.”

“She’s not doing well. She is numb and sad and doesn’t want to hear about anything anymore”, she said then for “Sex, love and what else is important”. “She’s like, ‘What does it matter? I don’t want to hear any more rumours.’ We were telling her some other rumors that came out yesterday and she said, ‘What does it matter? I just don’t need to know anymore. It’s only going to make me feel worse.”
Doute further claimed that Madix apologized to her for being “toxic” in the past when it came to their drama with Sandoval. “To apologize to me? Because she didn’t listen to me or because of the way their relationship started?” she said. “No. So I took to social media almost immediately because I was so tired of people saying, ‘Oh my God, this is Ariana’s karma.'”
