How to take steps to improve health

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Studies have shown that walking just thirty to sixty minutes a day can significantly improve your health and reduce your risk of diseases such as diabetes, heart disease and cancer.

American Heart Association volunteer Dr. Antonia Gutierrez joined Action News 5’s Andrew Douglas on the digital panel to talk about some of the health benefits of walking, even if you suffer from peripheral artery disease.

Dr. Gutierrez also talked about the warning signs of peripheral vascular disease.
