Hottest couples, duos, dates of all time

As the crown jewel of awards season, The Oscars is known for its ultra-glam and superstar-studded red carpet where celebrities make news for who they come with as well as what they wear.

So it should come as no surprise that we’ve been treated to some pretty epic plus-one moments over the years in the form of hot couples, darling dates, and dynamic duos.

There’s a lot to cover, thanks to the tradition of Hollywood royalty attending the Oscars together. Back in 1973 Cher she showed off her toned tummy in a gold crop top and skirt alongside Sonny Bono, who kept things classic in a black tuxedo.

Madonna and michael jackson caused quite a stir in 1991 when the Material Girl appeared to be channeling Marilyn Monroe with her old Hollywood-inspired fur and red lip combo.

Fast forward to the early 2000s and we were treated to something similar Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck (2003) and Beyoncé and Jay-Z (2005) showing their power couple status (and on the best dressed list!) on the red carpet.

The cutest Hollywood couples never disappoint even on the red carpet. in 2019 Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet showed up in color-coordinated pink Fendi ensembles. Then, in 2020. Kelly Ripa she walked the carpet in a beautiful Christian Siriano dress, with her big husband Mark Consuelos on her arm.

But it’s not all romance. Some of the cutest couples came in the form of Oscar nominees bringing their parents for the special occasion.

Gwyneth Paltrow she won Best Actress in 1999 with her dad Bruce by her side. A year earlier, Affleck and his colleague Good Will Hunting screenwriter Matt Damon brought his moms as his dates. 2018 Timothée Chalametwho was nominated for best actor, brought his mom as his plus 1!

Oh, and then it was time Jackie Chan appeared with two panda stuffed animals to raise conservation awareness.

Some stars took the opportunity to formally present their relationship to the world. Take Paulina Porizkova and Aaron Sorkin, for example. The couple looked fashion forward as they made their love known to all of Hollywood at the 2021 Oscars.

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker, who tied the knot in May 2022, made their Academy Awards debut at the annual ceremony in March. The Blink-182 drummer performed with the “All-Star” band during the broadcast after walking the red carpet with his then-fiancée. The The Kardashians star stunned in a vintage Mugler gown on the carpet shortly before sharing her love with her man.
