LINCOLN, Neb. (COLON) – The Lincoln Police Department is investigating a crash in northwest Lincoln that injured four children.
First responders were dispatched to NW 6th and W Cornhusker just after 7 a.m. Thursday for a report of a vehicle hitting one of the Cornhusker median poles.
According to LPD, there were four children in the vehicle.
LPD said there was a 15-year-old driver and front seat passenger, a 10-year-old backseat passenger and an additional 6-year-old backseat passenger.
Officials said that the 10-year-old boy suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital.
The other children were all treated at the hospital for minor injuries, according to LPD.
LPD said this investigation is ongoing.
