Effects of college degrees on health

MINOT, ND (KMOT) – College graduates will live longer than people without a college degree in 2021, according to a study by Ann Case and Angus Deaton.

Robert Farrington, founder of The College Investor, said that’s because workers without degrees often do more labor-intensive jobs.

On the other hand, people with degrees tend to find jobs that are less physically demanding.

“It’s not that it’s bad or worse, but it’s harder for you if it’s a fixed schedule, shift work, and all of those types of training also fit into a shorter lifespan,” Farrington said.

Farrington said there are other ways to earn more money besides college.

Some options include starting a business, going to business school, or working at jobs that pay for the education you need.

He said that college is not the only way to live a healthy life.
