Caritas of Waco is exploring a possible sale of the Bellmead Hidden Treasures thrift store

WACO, TX (KWTX) – Caritas of Waco announced it is working with a commercial real estate firm to explore the possible sale of the Bellmead Hidden Treasures thrift store.

Bellmead’s Hidden Treasures, originally operated by Ladies of Charity, is one of two thrift stores in the Bellmead-Waco area that “offers clothing, household goods and furniture and other items, among other bargains,” Caritas of Waco wrote in a message

The store was bought by Caritas in 1986.

“We have loved being part of the Bellmead community for over 36 years and are grateful to the customers who have supported us. We hope they continue to search for hidden gems in our store located at 3912 Boulevard Bosque,” said Caritas of Waco Executive Director Anne Owen.

Owen said the sale of the Bellmead store will allow Caritas of Waco to “focus on offering a larger inventory at the Bosque location and not only continue to offer affordable items, but generate revenue to support our many programs.”
