A shooting at a Macomb party house left one dead and several injured

MACOMB (WGEM) – One person is dead and several others are injured after a shooting at a house party in Macomb, according to the Macomb Police Department.

Police said they responded to a call of shots fired in the 500 block of North Johnson Street around 1:55 a.m. Saturday.

Police said the shooting happened after a fight broke out.

Police said one person died at the scene and several others were shot and taken to McDonough County Hospital.

Lockdown procedures were implemented at the hospital as a precaution.

Police said this is an isolated incident and there appears to be no immediate danger to the public.
