A person of interest in aggravated assault is being sought by Killeen police

KILIN, Texas (KWTX) – The Killeen Police Department’s Robbery and Homicide Unit is asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in an aggravated assault.

At approximately 7:45 p.m. on March 17, 2023, the Killeen Police Department responded to a shooting near the intersection of 38th Street and Atkinson Avenue.

Witnesses at the scene told officers that a man had fired shots into a car with two adults and an infant inside. Police said no one was injured by the shots.

Detectives want to speak with the man seen on surveillance footage of the shooting.

“He is a black male with dreadlocks and is in his twenties,” Killeen police wrote in a Facebook post.
