PAWNEE CITY, Neb. (COLOGNE) – A Pawnee City Public Schools employee was arrested and charged Tuesday after allegedly sexually abusing two children between February and March.
Candice B. Johnson, 35, is charged with three felonies.
Johnson is charged with third-degree sexual assault by a school employee. According to court documents filed in Pawnee County Court, Johnson “engaged in sexual penetration or intercourse with a plan or scheme of conduct with the intent to cause a student to engage in sexual intercourse or intercourse between February 1 and March 14.”
He is also charged with first-degree sexual abuse of a child and child abuse for crimes he allegedly committed against a second child. Court documents allege that in February and March, Johnson sexually assaulted a child between the ages of 12 and 16. According to court documents, Johnson allegedly caused the child to be placed in a situation that would endanger their life, physical or mental health; sexually exploiting a minor by selling or selling the sexuality of a minor or by permitting, encouraging or coercing such a minor to engage in obscene, public indecency or obscene or pornographic photographs, films or images; or insulted.
After his arrest, Johnson was fired from Pawnee City Public Schools.
