SAN LUIS, Ariz. (Kima, KESI) – San Luis is hosting a two-day event to honor migrant worker activist Cesar Chavez.
The first two events were a parade along Urtuzuastigui and 10th streets. The parade was held on Saturday at 9:00 am.
Organizations participating in the parade include Grupo de Danza Rio Colorado, Walmart, Molina Security Services, Yuma County Sheriff’s Office and the San Luis Police Department.
The city will then host the next event on March 31, Chavez’s birthday. Located at 741 César Chavez Street, it is a cultural event that starts at 2:00 PM and continues until 5:00 PM.
