A new report examines public emergency preparedness in Tennessee

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – The Ready or Not: Protecting Public Health from Disease, Disaster, and Bioterrorismsince 2003 has been tracking the country’s public health emergency preparedness.

The 10 key public health preparedness indicators provide state officials with indicators of progress, show gaps in their states’ preparedness for all hazards, and provide data to compare states’ performance with similar jurisdictions.

Dr. Nadine Gracia, President and CEO of Trust for Health America, joined Action News 5′ Andrew Douglas on the digital panel and talked about how Tennessee ranked and ways to improve community preparedness.
