A 17-year-old boy has been hospitalized following a crash which closed part of ‘O’ Street on Friday

LINCOLN, Neb. (COLOGNE) – A 17-year-old boy was hospitalized after a helicopter accident with three cars.

According to the Lincoln Police Department, officers were dispatched to 50th and O streets, near Barnes and Noble, around 5:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.

LPD said a 2008 Toyota Prius, driven by a 17-year-old boy, was traveling northbound on O Street toward 50th and struck a westbound 2013 Ford Mustang driven by a 17-year-old boy. has done

Officers said the crash caused the Prius to spin and hit a 2006 Toyota Avalon that was stopped at a stop sign on southbound 50th Street. A 64-year-old man was driving the Toyota Avalon, LPD said.

According to LPD, the 17-year-old driver of the Prius was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

LPD said drugs and alcohol were not a factor.

The driver of the Prius was named in the accident.
