Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – Two people were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after a multi-vehicle crash near the intersection of Rainbow Boulevard and Govan Road Monday evening.
Police said the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. when a car was running a red light westbound on Rainbow.
At the same time, a car traveling northbound on Rainbow with a green light collided while crossing the intersection heading westbound.
According to investigators, the westbound vehicle then collided with a second vehicle.
Both passengers of the car that ran the red light suffered serious and life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear if impairment played a factor in the crash.
The intersection remained closed as of 11:15 p.m. Monday night.
