19-year-old man killed in Dyersburg shooting

Dyersburg, Tenn. (WMC) – The Dyersburg Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a 19-year-old man Sunday night.

Officers responded to a shooting at 8:30 p.m. at the Future City Entertainment Center.

Auri’A Battles, 19, was located and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

She was taken to hospital where she died.

Detectives recovered an AR-15 that may have been used in the shooting, police said.

Detectives also interviewed the 19-year-old alleged shooter.

Police say the case will be presented to Dyer’s April grand jury.
