MOLINE, IL (KWQC) – A Davenport man was killed in a crash in Moline Saturday, the coroner has identified 22-year-old Isaiah Peterson.
Rock Island County Coroner Brian Gustafson said the preliminary cause of death was multiple traumatic injuries.
Gustafson said the investigation is ongoing with the coroner’s office and Moline police.
Police responded to the crash at the intersection of 17th Street and River Drive just before 8 p.m., according to a news release.
When police arrived at the scene, they found Peterson driving a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, officers said. He was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A 69-year-old Rock Island woman driving a Honda Accord was westbound on River Road when she turned south onto 17th Street, police said. Peterson was traveling eastbound on River Drive when two vehicles collided in the intersection.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crash to call the Moline Police Department’s traffic division at 309-797-0401.
