Sony Xperia 1 V shows up: few revolutions compared to the past

Sony is among the companies that in recent years has concentrated its efforts in the smartphone market especially in the top-of-the-range Android segment, effectively abandoning the mid-range.

In fact, we have seen the flagships of the Xperia series arrive from the Japanese manufacturer, which are renewed on an annual basis in the last few years. In the last few hours, new details have been leaked on what to expect from the fifth generation on smartphones.

The images you find in the gallery in fact they refer to Sony Xperia 1 V. It would be the highest-end model, for which we are able to see the design. From an aesthetic point of view we do not find revolutions compared to Sony Xperia 1 IV. Both front and rear we do not see particular innovations in terms of design compared to the previous model, with the profile squared offlo screen without holes which features the front camera in the top bar, and the side buttons which should also include a quick photo capture button.

The only difference compared to its predecessor, which we also noticed in the first render leaked a few weeks ago, consists in the rear photographic module: this no longer includes the ToF sensor and IR RGB sensorbut we find a sensor periscopico which should favor the zoom.

According to what has just been leaked, the dimensions of Sony Xperia 1 V should correspond to 161,0 x 69,3 x 8,5 mm, with the length and height slightly reduced to Xperia 1 IV. The display should have the same 6.5″ diagonal with a 21:9 ratio. So let’s expect one edge reduction compared to the previous generation model.
