Huntsville, Ala. (WAFF) – A gunman was shot and killed Saturday morning while officers with the Huntsville Police Department were responding to a domestic violence call on Chadburn Drive.
According to a Huntsville Police Department official, officers were responding to a domestic violence call and were attempting to make contact with a gunman when the person was shot and killed. Officials say that the shooting happened after midnight on Saturday.
The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) identified the man as 49-year-old Christopher Osborne. Osborne was pronounced dead at the scene.
No Huntsville police officers were injured in the shooting.
