One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Huntsville on Sunday

Huntsville, Ala. (WAFF) – One person was killed in a crash in Huntsville Sunday afternoon.

According to Don Webster with Huntsville Emergency Medical Services (HEMSI), one person was transported to a Huntsville hospital with serious injuries after a single vehicle crash on Sunday.

An officer with the Huntsville Police Department says the man was killed in the crash. HPD believes the vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

The crash happened on Governors Drive near Governors in Huntsville around 2:20 p.m. Sunday, Webster said.

The man who was taken to the hospital was the only passenger in the car at the time of the accident.
