DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) – A woman from Mt. Pleasant was arrested after police say he robbed a man in Burlington on Tuesday.
The Burlington Police Department responded to a report of an assault and bleeding from the face of a man at Gasland, 1003 Summer Street, around 11:00 p.m., Tuesday.
According to media reports, the police found the man with facial injuries. The man told police he contacted Corsha Adrianna Williams and asked for a ride to Gasland.
The man told police he drove to South 5th and Division to pick up Williams and Kermontai Heard.
While driving to Gasland, the man said he and Williams began arguing, police said. The man said he was punched in the side of the face by Williams inside the car when they arrived.
According to the police, after this incident, the man’s wallet was lost.
Police said surveillance video from Gasland showed the man and Williams getting out of the car, then Williams chasing the man. Williams then falls on top of the man and holds him for the duration of the interaction.
Williams and Heard were found near the intersection of Cedar Street and Central Avenue, police said. Both were arrested on outstanding warrants related to the incident.
Heard was taken to the Des Moines County Correctional Facility, police said. Williams was taken to the police station for questioning about the assault call.
The man’s keys, wallet and cellphone were found on Williams, police said.
Williams, 25, was charged with second-degree robbery, a C felony.
