‘Mayhem’ street-legal drag racing returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – Street-legal drag racing “Mayhem” will return to Las Vegas Motor Speedway this year, organizers have announced.

“Summit Racing Equipment Mayhem Street-Legal Drags on The Strip at LVMS” is billed as “a safe alternative to illegal street racing.”

As part of the experiencedrivers are able to “race against each other in the safer confines of the NHRA-sanctioned quarter-mile drag strip.”

According to the calendar of events, the first loading on the legal street “Mayhem” will take place on Friday, February 3.

Organizers say the event is open to all licensed and registered street cars.

The cost of a series of events is as follows:

• Car and driver (technical card): $20
  
• Passenger per ride: $15
  
• Parking fee/pit area: $15
  
• audience: $5
  

Organizers note that the ticket office for all Mayhem events closes at 10:30 p.m.
