LIST: Here’s a look at which city services are open on Presidents Day

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – President’s Day is celebrated on Monday, February 20th.

Honolulu city and county offices will be closed, including all satellite city halls and driver’s license centers.

TheBus operates on a Saturday schedule. visit thebus.org for route and schedule information, as well as driver instructions.

Here’s a look at what else is opening or closing:

  • Garbage will be collected and transfer stations, convenience centers, H-POWER and the Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill will be open. visit honolulu.gov/opala for information.
  • Gardens and botanical gardens are open. visit honolulu.gov/parks for park usage guidelines.
  • City golf courses are open. visit honolulu.gov/des/golf for updated game information.
  • The Honolulu Zoo is open. visit honolulu.gov/zoo for information.
  • The Neal S. Blaisdell Center box office will be closed. visit blaisdellcenter.com for information.
  • There are no open public markets.

The following traffic and parking rules apply:

  • Parking in Lanikai will be limited to 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. during the three-day holiday
  • Street parking will be free, with the exception of meters on Kalakaua Avenue along Queen Kapiolani Park, metered parking and meters on designated streets in Waikiki. View a list of streets in Waikiki Here.
  • Traffic lanes are not set to go against the flow.
