BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – Getting financial aid in North Dakota is about to get easier after some changes to the state’s services.
The Department of Health and Human Services has launched a new customer support center for anyone who participates in Medicaid, SNAP, child care or other financial assistance programs.
The department’s team members from its 19 regions will now also work as a team, helping to streamline workloads and improve backlog and turnaround times.
new website, applyforhelp.nd.gov, was also launched. There is now a place to send documents to HHS.

“Our goal is to simplify and improve the experience for the more than 154,000 North Dakotans who apply for and participate in Medicaid and economic assistance programs each year,” said HHS Executive Director of Human Services Jessica Thomasson.
