Four people were left with serious injuries after an overnight crash in Moline

MOLINE, IL (KWQC) – Four people are seriously injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Moline.

Just before 2 a.m. Sunday, first responders were called to the 4400 block of River Drive in Moline for a multi-vehicle crash, according to police.

Police say a Nissan was traveling eastbound on Riverside and approached two other eastbound vehicles. Nissan moved into the westbound lane. According to media reports, an eastbound Buick LaCrosse slammed on its brakes to avoid the crash and rear-ended the Saturn Aura.

Both the Nissan and the Chevy were occupied by two people, and all four were seriously injured in the crash.

A Moline police officer performed CPR on the driver of the Nissan. All four injured were transported to area hospitals. No one was injured in the second accident.

Police say alcohol was a factor in both crashes.
