Captain Kerry Replaces Captain Lee in ‘Below Deck’ Season 11

Close the hatches! Captain Lee Rosbach it’s officially out Below deck — and will be replaced by another member of the Bravo family, multiple sources say exclusively Us Weekly.

According to insiders, Captain Kerry Titheradge of Below Deck Adventure will take the place of Lee, 73, on season 11 of the nautical series, which will begin filming in Grenada later this week.

News of Lee’s departure comes just months later Captain Sandy Yawn stepped in to replace the Michigan native during Below deck season 10

“Captain Sandy has come[d] she saved me in a difficult situation and I appreciate her efforts,” Lee, who starred in Below deck since his debut in 2011, he tweeted about his untimely farewell at the time.

During the December 2022 episode, viewers watched Lee say goodbye to his crew before returning to the US to deal with ongoing health issues.

“I’ll get back to [United] States, sort this out – and as soon as I do – I’m going to be on the first plane back and tell everyone on board to get the fuck off my boat,” he quipped to his colleagues as he broke the news.

While the captain noted that he plans to return to the charter to finish the season – and referred to his plane ticket as a “return trip” – he told his teammates that he wanted to “do the right thing” by stepping aside.

“As you know I have been struggling with my mobility, it has been difficult and I have let you down and for that I apologize. So I decided to leave the boat,” he explained. “One of my biggest problems now is that I’m not able to observe. I don’t know who does what, that’s my job,” he added. “They expect that from me. There comes a point where if a captain is truly objective, he should put the best interests of his crew first.”

Before his departure from St. David, Lee exclusively told Us that his health problems are improving.

“The back surgery went great, it really did,” he exclusively said Us in December 2022. “This season you’ll find me doing something I’ve never, ever done before in my career or life. And there will be a lot of situations where you’ll say, ‘Wow, I didn’t see that at all.’ And not only will this apply to viewers, [but] that was true for both me and the crew.”

The reasons for Lee’s official departure have yet to be released, but the seasoned vet is likely to give Kerry the seal of approval.

While the Australian – who starred on Below Deck Adventure since it premiered in November 2022 — Bravo is a newcomer, it exclusively opened Us last month about the advice given to him by Captain Lee as the two paired up for a round of golf.

“‘Be yourself. Be the same guy I used to play golf with,'” Kerry recalled Lee telling him. make him do it, so I don’t get involved in it.’ He says, ‘No, make your own social media. Don’t let anybody else do it.’

Kerry also revealed that he then ran into Lee again at BravoCon in October 2022, where the former restaurateur gave him words of encouragement ahead of Adventure the prime minister.

“The show hasn’t come out yet, but we talked and he said, ‘Man, you’re going to be great. You’re going to be really good. I can see it.’ He says, ‘You’re going to be fantastic in this franchise.’ And then he chatted with my daughter. It was cool.”
