HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – BWS continued its bid to protect water for Nanakuli and Waianae.
BWS officials said power outages caused by high winds are affecting the pumping station, resulting in low or no water pressure in those areas.
The board said their pumps are powered by electricity, so when the reservoirs fail, they cannot be refilled and the water pressure drops.
Residents are asked to limit water use to essential needs.
