Bats in the bell ringer, of course. But bats in court?
A Genesee County Sheriff’s deputy on Monday captured a bat that was hanging around the county’s circuit courthouse, proof that no one is above the law, even when they have wings and echolocation.
The law department of the county clerk’s office called deputies to report that there was a bat in the office and it was flying around causing a disturbance, the sheriff’s office said Monday. a post on the official Facebook page. Deputies arrived and the winged creature had moved down a hallway.
The deputy managed to catch the flying mammal, take it out and release it.
