Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) is closing Tropicana Avenue over I-15 for five hours overnight to temporarily replace a broken diamond.
Monday’s closure begins at 11:00 p.m. and reopens by 4:00 a.m. the following morning.
The ramp from northbound I-15 to Tropicana will also be closed during this time.
The diamond layout is designed to reduce load and increase safety and efficiency during construction.
Round-the-clock maintenance is aimed at increasing the safety of drivers on the diamond.
The Tropicana reopened Monday morning after an eight-day closure.
