Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas hotel and casino that has undergone renovations to accommodate the Latino community will debut next week.
According to a news release, the newly opened Ojos Locos Sports Cantina Y Casino and Hotel Jefe will be officially unveiled to the public on Monday, February 6.
As part of a partnership between Las Vegas Fifth Street Gaming (FSG) and Dallas-based Ojos Locos Sports Cantina, the rebranded gaming and entertainment venue will introduce the first US casino hotel dedicated to the Latino community.
Located at 3227 Civic Center Drive in North Las Vegas, the new Latin-oriented property replaces the former Lucky Club Hotel & Casino.
According to the publication, Hotel Jefe Ojos Locos presents Sports Cantina as the center of dining, entertainment and nightlife.
Developers say the Ojos Locos Sports Cantina Y Casino will have a 10,000-square-foot casino and a spacious restaurant that can seat about 300 guests.
“After two years of planning and collaboration, we are thrilled to introduce this new gaming and entertainment destination to the Latino community,” said Seth Schorr, CEO of Fifth Street Gaming. “We are grateful to Ojos Locos for joining us in this endeavor and to our valued customers, whose enthusiasm has inspired us to create growth just for them.”
According to the release, Hotel Jefe, a Fifth Street Gaming property, will have 90 rooms and suites, which are undergoing renovations. Developers say that 40 percent of the rooms have been completed and the rest should be completed by the end of the year.
“We are excited and honored to partner with Fifth Street Gaming on this iconic location that will allow us to bring the Ojos gaming experience to market,” added Laura Caudillo, vice president of development, Ojos Locos Sports Cantina. “We look forward to welcoming the Latino community with our excellent service, delicious food and fun-filled atmosphere.”
