Beulah basketball enters the final month of the regular season at 10-1 and continues to climb the state rankings

BISMARCK, ND (KFYR) – The Beulah Miners lost their top two scorers for the year and many thought they wouldn’t be the same team. It’s true, they are very different, but it’s the difference that makes you realize that change can be good.

The Miners are 10-1 this winter and are undefeated in 2023. After an uneventful start to the year, they have climbed to 10th and are likely to climb even higher when the new survey is released on Monday. Coach Brandt says it was a total team effort.

“I think we’ve been pretty consistent in that area,” Jeremy Brandt said. “Now the other thing, I think we are really playing together. We share the ball. I think we had 25 assists as a team on Tuesday at Wilton and 19 on Friday against Killdare. That’s one thing we’re doing well is sharing the ball. Wilton the other night we had four kids in double figures. In Killdeer we had two, and another two with eight. Our balance was good and it makes it hard to focus on one guy. “

Many didn’t think the miners would be good enough because they were so quick after a huge program turnaround.

“In the middle of the summer, talking to our assistant coach, that’s one thing we talked about, we really thought we were going to be better than what people expected us to be because of who we “We had a lot of expectations going into the year and we definitely met and exceeded them. We have some really good games coming up and I think that we will have a test, which will be very good for us, and we will see how we respond, especially on the road, to some of those things.”

Beulah returns to action on Tuesday to start a five-straight game.
