YCAT bus drivers negotiate a deal – 13 Vanessa Gongora on Your Side

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – After Yuma County Transit (YCAT) bus drivers opted out of a new three-year contract in October, the company responsible for their contracts has continued negotiations.

Union president Bob Bean, who represents YCAT’s 32 employees, says they want at least a 30 percent pay raise, but they’ve settled on an 18 percent increase over three years for all operators, dispatchers and mechanics.

88 percent voted.
