It’s Election Day and there’s still time to cast your vote in Oregon.
In the past, the ballots had to arrive at the district election office by 8:00 PM on the day of the election, so that they could be counted. This year, ballots only have to be cast by Election Day on Tuesday and can be counted up to seven days after.
This change is due to a law passed by the Oregon Legislature in 2021.
Voters can also submit their ballots at state sites instead of using the mail.
The election results will be announced at 8:00 p.m. Find live results at registerguard.com and find articles about the results in Thursday’s print edition of the Register-Guard.
Number of voters so far
