The proposed contract for the University of Florida would see Sasse at a base salary of $1 million

Gainesville, Florida (WOWT) – Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse This week, he faces the final hurdle of becoming the next president University of Florida.

There are new details on how to pay Sasse.

The proposed contract will be five years with a proposed base salary of $1 million.

He now makes less than $200,000 as a US senator.

If he stays for five years, he will receive a $1 million bonus. Senator Sasse can also earn an annual bonus of up to $150,000.

The university also contributes $150,000 annually to his retirement plan.

He should live in the university president’s house. And he can be fired with or without reason.

The Florida Board of Governors will vote on Thursday.
