The Huntsville Desegregation Committee will hold a meeting Monday

Huntsville, Ala. (WAFF) – The Huntsville Desegregation Committee (DAC) will hold its first meeting of the 2022-23 school year Monday evening.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the Lee Middle School auditorium on November 7 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Monday’s meeting will feature a brief report on the progress of the consent order, followed by a forum for questions, concerns and community input.

The DAC is a group of parent and student volunteers responsible for overseeing the implementation of the consent order for desegregation in Huntsville City Schools.

The committee reviews the school system, listens to the community and submits an annual report to the court.
