Suspect shot family dog ​​near Wall Lake

WALL LAKE, SD (Dakota News Now) – Minnehaha County Sheriffs are looking for suspects in the shooting death of a family’s dog near Wall Lake.

According to Capt. Josh Phillips with the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, around 5:30 p.m. Friday in west Wall Lake, a neighbor heard gunshots and a dog yelping. The neighbor called the homeowner, who was not home at the time. The homeowners checked their security camera, which showed a black four-door car driving past the house and reversing after the shooting. One of the owner’s children found the dog the next day.
