OnePlus Nord CE 3: unveiled the specifications of the OnePlus budget smartphone

A new range-based OnePlus smartphone is on the way: we are obviously talking about a Nord series device, that is OnePlus Nord CE 3. This smartphone, successor of OnePlus Nord CE 2 (here you find our review), should actually be available only next yearbut all the most important technical specifications have been leaked.

To publish all this information on OnePlus Nord CE 3 was the usual OnLeaks, fairly well known and reliable leaker. Compared to the past generation, the differences will not be many: the design should be very similar to Nord CE 2, not the difference that OnePlus Nord CE 3 is expected to mount a larger, 6.7-inch panel, in resolution FHD+ and with support to the refresh rate a 120 Hz.

The processor will instead be the same as the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite, that is Qualcomm Snapdragon 695which will be accompanied by 8 or 12 GB of RAM e 128 or 256 GB of internal memory. For cameras, this is called a 16 MP front sensor and a 108 MP main rear sensorcombined with a 2 MP macro sensor and to a 2 MP depth sensor.

The battery will be 5000 mAhwith support for fast charging at 67 W. Obviously there will be a fingerprint sensor placed on the edge of the smartphone.

Compared to the previous generation, there are some interesting steps forward (such as the 108MP sensor or “faster” fast charging), but we’ll see if an upgrade from OnePlus Nord CE 2 or CE 2 Lite is worth it. In any case, you won’t have to wait too long to find out: OnePlus Nord CE 3 should arrive during the first or at most the second quarter of 2023.
